Vivid By Day, Glowing By Night

Panchroma™ Luminous PLA combines vibrant daytime colour with a matching glow-in-the-dark effect — prints look bright and saturated in normal light, then glow in a corresponding shade once the lights go out. It’s well suited to toys, signage, safety markers, decorative models and any project that should stand out both day and night.

Thickness Affects the Glow

Luminous intensity depends on part thickness — thinner sections give a softer glow, while thicker walls or higher infill bring out the fuller, more vibrant glow effect. It’s worth test-printing a sample section to judge how much wall thickness a design needs before committing to a full print.

Easy To Print

Prints on standard FDM/FFF printers using typical PLA settings, with no enclosure required. Suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike — the main thing to plan for is the nozzle (see Important Notes below).

Printing Requirements

A hardened nozzle is mandatory — the glow-in-the-dark pigment is highly abrasive and will wear down a standard brass nozzle quickly. No enclosure is needed otherwise, and it prints well on standard FDM printers.

Important Notes

Requires a hardened nozzle — the glow pigment is abrasive and will wear a standard brass nozzle. Not recommended for use in AMS or other multi-material systems with plastic gears and PTFE tubing, as the abrasive additive can cause excessive wear on those components. The filament needs light exposure to charge before it will glow in the dark.
