Two Surfaces, One Plate

The Bambu Dual-Texture PEI Plate gives you a textured PEI surface on one side and a smooth PEI surface on the other, on a single flexible build plate. Flip it over depending on the finish and adhesion you need for a given print, without buying two separate plates.

Built for Reliable Adhesion

A 0.5mm magnetic stainless steel base holds firmly to the printer’s heated bed via the magnetic build plate sticker, while flexing enough to pop finished prints free without prying or scraping.

Two Finishes, One Plate

The textured side gives prints a light, matte-textured underside finish and strong first-layer grip, useful for a wide range of materials. The smooth side gives a glossy, flat underside finish — good for parts where surface appearance on the bed-facing side matters.

Easy To Use

Drop it onto the printer’s heated bed like any other Bambu Lab build plate — no extra glue or special setup needed for most materials. A thin layer of glue stick is recommended for trickier materials such as ABS/ASA or PC.

Compatibility

Compatible with: Bambu Lab X1 Series, P1 Series, and A1 (not A1 mini — A1 mini uses its own dedicated Dual-Texture PEI Plate, FAP012).

For X2D and P2S users, please disable the Build Plate Position Detection in ‘Settings ->Print Options -> Enable the detection of build plate position’ when printing with the Dual-Texture PEI Plate to avoid error reports.

Recommended Bed Temperatures by Material

Important Notes

Avoid acetone on either surface, as it will damage the PEI coating — clean with warm water and detergent instead. Allow the plate to cool before removing prints, especially on the textured side, for the cleanest release. Light sanding with fine-grit (600-grit) sandpaper can help restore grip on the textured side over time. This plate does not support automatic build-plate detection on newer (2nd-generation) Bambu Lab machines.
