The H2C uses Bambu Lab’s Vortek system, where a set of interchangeable induction-heated hotends sit on a motorised rack and are automatically swapped onto the toolhead mid-print. This eliminates the need for a purge tower when changing materials, since each hotend keeps its own dedicated melt zone. The hotends are heated contactlessly by electromagnetic induction rather than through electrical pins, and report their temperature wirelessly back to the printer.

This particular hotend is the 0.6mm Standard Flow variant, fitted with a hardened steel nozzle. The larger 0.6mm opening increases volumetric flow compared to the standard 0.4mm nozzle, which can help speed up prints with larger layer heights or thicker walls, and the hardened steel construction gives it better wear resistance than stainless steel when printing filled or abrasive materials.

Like all H2C induction hotends, this unit heats up quickly (in around 8 seconds to PLA temperature) and includes built-in overheat, overvoltage, short-circuit and open-circuit protection, along with automatic cooling when the heatsink gets too warm. It’s a straightforward drop-in replacement or additional hotend for expanding the range of nozzle sizes available on your H2C’s Vortek rack.
